You Come From Greatness holds a special place in my heart. It such an important book! and
beautifully showcases some of the greatness of the African diaspora.

Coming from the Caribbean, I rarely saw beautiful books that featured my culture (of which I am exceedingly proud!).
The editor, Kim, was open to my suggestions to include Trinidad’s important musical legacy. . . hence the inclusion steelpan and calypso.

The illustrator, Ken Daley is Dominican, and an absolute star - one of my favorite illustrators of all time. His cover warms my heart every time I see it!
